Hello All,
We are looking forward to hosting
everyone at the New England Open this weekend at MIT in Cambridge.
The meet looks to be fast and should provide the opportunity for all
the swimmers to have great swims.
Listed below is some general information, changes and reminders for
the meet:
1) Warm
Up schedule is posted online at the website, we have changed
the warm up
times have changed to 7:30-8:30
AM broken into 2 (30 minute sessions) utilizing the 10
lane championship pool and the
9 lane scoreboard pool. The 6 lane pool will not be
used at all during the morning
warm up sessions. All finals sessions will be open
warm ups utilizing the pools
and lanes that are open during that session.
2) Pool Breakdown,
we will be swimming all events men and women in the championship
10 lane pool with the 9 lane
scoreboard pool open for warm up and warm down. The
1000 free on Thursday and the
1650 free on Sunday will be run in 2 pools. Top heat
of both women and men will swim
at finals and the remaining heats will swim fastest
to slowest. All women's heats
will be in one pool and all the men's heats in the other
pool. In the 9 lane scoreboard
pool we will compete in lanes 1-8 and leave lane 9 of that
course open for warm up/ warm
down for those event swimmers only.
3) Scratches
must be turned in to the clerk of course by 6 PM the night
before by
completing the appropriate
scratch form.
Thursday
ONLY scratches can be e-mailed by 6 PM Wednesday to
nssc1@aol.com
or by calling 978-852-3985 and
leave the scratch on the voice mail. No scratches
will be accepted after 6 PM.
Friday, Saturday and
Sunday scratches can only be done by utilizing the scratch
form at the clerk of course
table.
4) Positive Check
In for the following :
Thursday - 1000 free by 10:00
AM
Friday - 400 IM by 9:00 AM
Saturday - 500 free by 9:00 AM
Sunday - 1650 free by 9:00
AM
All Relays by 6:00 PM and relay
names by 7:00 PM
5) Time Trials will
be offered on Friday and Saturday only at the end of prelims. All time
trials must be turned in at the
clerk of course by 9:00 AM and are $5.00 each, $10.00
for relays. We will run time
trials to approximately noon each of these days.
6) Web site has
psyche sheets, team warm up schedule, team work assignments,
general info, time lines,
results etc.
7) Parking on
Thursday and up to 3 PM on Friday is street parking and wherever you
can.
Parking permit can be
downloaded from the web site and then the parking garage will
be open for Friday evening,
Saturday and Sunday free of charge.
8) Review Psyche Sheets
and get any issues to me as soon as possible.
9) Timers Meeting,
Please let your parents know that we will be
having a timers
meeting 20 minutes prior to the start
of each session. If they can be ready and get down on deck
we can get things started on time and
running smoothly. Timers are responsible to
stay till the completion of the
session unless otherwise noted.
10) All Swimmers must provide their
own timer and counter for the 1000 free and
1650 free.
