Hello Everyone,

 

Here are some NSSC updates as of Wednesday May 4, 2005.

 

Reminder - There is no practice at Salem State on Thursday, May 5, 2005. Please join us at Minuteman Tech or Hanscom AFB.

 

Today is the last day of changing the meet entry for the upcoming May 21-22 MIT meet. If you are unable to attend and are scheduled, you must inform us by today in writing, or you will be charged.

 

The Parent work schedule for the upcoming MIT meet is posted online. All parents are expected to help with the running of the meet while their child is swimming. Please note the time of arrival for your session. As host of the meet, we need to be in place before people arrive.

 

July Travel Meet update- NSSC is in the process of finalizing the feasibility of a travel meet that fits the clubs needs. We will let everyone know as soon as possible. At this time it is not feasible to attend the North Carolina meet of last year.

 

NSSC is planning an end of year banquet/ pool party in July. We understand that some of you miss the traditional banquet, but we feel this will be a better avenue to wrap up both seasons. In our eyes, one season is not more important than another, and we are a year round program. More info TBA.

 

Gossip-  It has come to our attention, that there is a rumor NSSC will not be returning to Gordon College in the fall. THAT IS COMPLETELY FALSE! Every spring, NSSC cuts back our hours at Gordon, based on attendance and registration numbers. This has been the case for seven or eight years. We plan on continuing our strong relationship with Gordon and offering a complete program in the Fall/ Winter of 05/06. Please note, if you hear any scuttlebutt, the only persons that can tell you the truth are Dan or Tony. Please feel free to ask us any questions or concerns that you might hear!

 

Club Clothing: Club backpacks are in! lf you have ordered a backpack, please set a time to pick it up with coach Tony. If you would like to order a backpack, please do so quickly, as they will run out. If anyone would like to order club T-shirts, we have a limited supply remaining. Please email or see Dan or Tony.
