Here are some NSSC updates as of August 2, 2006: Stay cool!
1) 2006-2007 registrations are due. Please refer to the
following link for your specific registration form:
2) Final summer escrow accounts are due.
3)Membership Drive: NSSC has space available for swimmers
at all pools. If you know of anyone interested in swimming, have them
contact coach Tony or go to the web site. If you are able to pass out a
flyers to a group(s), please email coach Tony and he will send it to you.
Let's get your child's friends involved and create some great relays in
the upcoming year!

5) Recent Press release:
The North Shore Swim Club had an incredible New England Championship
swim meet at MIT over the weekend. Lexington Senior Matt O'Brien won two
New England Titles- 100 Butterfly (57.54) and 100 backstroke (1:01.29).
Matt was the only swimmer in New England to qualify for the prestigious
Junior National Championships in Irvine California! Lexington Junior
Greg Lowen, had incredible Sunday swims in the 200 Backstroke (2:19.22,
17th place) and 50 Freestyle (25.52, 12th). Lexington Sophomore Amy
O'Brien continues to astound as she finished 4th in the 50 freestyle
(28.06). Both Amy and Greg qualified for the Northeast Sectional
Championships in March that will be held at Harvard
University. Continuing the great swims were Craig Lewin of
Swampscott,Jeffrey Fiore of Peabody, Caroline Caliri and Emily Rookwood
of Marblehead, Lexi Moroney of Manchester, and Emma Gaquin of Hamilton.
Lewin competed in all the distance events including the 200 butterfly,
800 freestyle and 1500 freestyle. He had great success after competing
one month ago and finishing 8th overall at the open water Nationals in
the 25K swim in Fort Myers, Florida. Fiore scored in multiple events
including the 200 IM (2:21.57) 100 back (1:05.69) and 200 Backstroke
(2:21.19). Rookwood scored in the 200 Backstroke(2:31.25). Other NSSC
swimmers who competed and scored at Championships included Caitlin
Brewer of Burlington, 100 backstroke( 1:10.75, 12th), Jessica Cook of
Wakefield, 100 free (1:01.90, 15th) 200 free (2;13.72, 18th). Also
participating at the meet was Lee Chaing of Lexington, Mike Woodbury,
Courtney Brewer, and Amanda Murphy of Burlington, Erin Johanson and Leah
Townsend of Wakefield.
" We swam very limited and very specific events for this meet, and we
still finished 12th as a team out of 72 teams! Our swimmers had an
incredible year, from the 12 and unders to the graduating seniors! It
was an incredible amount of fun to watch them finish the season with
great swims! I am so lucky to work with driven and motivated children, I
can't wait to get them back in the pool in September", said Coach Tony
Padvaiskas!
