Hello Everyone,
Here are some NSSC updates as of Friday, 12/21/07:
1) The projected entries for the January 5/6 Hanscom Meet, January 11-13
Blizzard Classic Meet, and the January 26/27 MIT Meet are posted online. All
families are expected to review the entries. We need any additions or
scratches before next Friday, December 28, 2007. Here is the meet calendar
link:
2) The January practice calendars are posted online. Please note that
there six dates on the Minuteman calendar that we cannot practice due to
high school swim meets. Please plan accordingly.
3) Best times as of 12/18/07 are posted. Please review and let Dan know of
any incorrect times.
4) CHRISTMAS VACATION TRAINING!!! Swimmers are reminded that the next two
weeks of training is vital to their second half of the season. The training
we do over the next 10 practices creates the aerobic base needed to perform
in late February and March. Senior/ Compass swimmers are expected at all
practices. Junior and age group swimmers are expected to keep to their
required number of practices.
5) Last chance for Christmas gifts!! Anyone who would like NSSC shirts,
backpacks, suits, or caps is asked to call Coach Tony before Saturday
morning practice at Hanscom.

Special Olympics Volunteers Needed!
When:
1/6/08, 1/13/08, 1/27/08, 2/3/08,
2/10/08, 2/24/08
Where:
Acton Boxboro High School
Time:
1:00 pm- 2:00 pm
How it works:
Each volunteer will be assigned one athlete, who they will
work with over a span of six Sunday’s to help them become more comfortable
in the water. Depending up the ability, as the volunteer you will be
encouraged to teach basic swimming skills.
Expectations:The
children that we work with like to be with the same volunteer throughout
their experience, so your commitment to the program is important. Please
fell free to contact me prior to December 17th with any
further questions and to let me know if you are interested in
