Hello Everyone,

 

Here are some NSSC updates as of March 7, 2007:

 

1) Congratulations to all the Age Group Champions! NSSC placed 10th overall in New England, as a team. NSSC was led with stellar performances from Molly Smith- Club record 1650 freestyle (18:25 15/19 girls), Michael Lin -Club record - 200 backstroke (2:05- 13/14 boys), and Amy O'Brien 1st place in the 50 freestyle (24.22). NSSC had incredible relays, especially Sunday night! Great job to all the swimmers and thank you to all the parents for their help!

 

2) Reminder: Gordon College will be closed for pool maintenance from Monday, March 12 - Friday, March 16, 2007. We will resume practices at Gordon on Monday March, 19, 2007.

 

3) Reminder: There is to be no food or beverages on the pool deck or in the stands at Minuteman Tech, with the exception of water or gatorade for the swimmers during practice. If you need to, please use the cafeteria. The staff at Minuteman Tech has made it clear that you will be asked to leave the pool area, and can jeopardize our status at Minuteman, if this is not followed. Please remember, we are guest and must follow their rules.

 

4) Northeast Sectional Championships: NSSC will be sending 10 swimmers to the Northeast Sectional Championship this coming weekend at Harvard University. Good luck to all the individual and relay swimmers! All swimmers are expected to double check with coach Tony on relays, individual events and time trials via in person or by phone before Thursday afternoon. Because the meet is so spread out during the day, everyone needs to know when to be at the pool! All the information is posted on the website, but please double check with Coach Tony.

 

5) JCC Swim Meet- League Championships are this coming Sunday (3/11/07) at Springfield. Good luck to all the swimmers. Information and final entry are posted online!
