MEET FORMAT: The meet will follow the tri meet format of events that are listed above under "Event List". A swimmers age will be determined as of November 15th for the entire dual meet season as well as the championship in March.

 

SITE: The Worcester JCC Competition Pool is an 6-lane, 25-yard pool with six-foot-wide lanes and non-turbulent lane lines.  Hand timing and spectator and swimmer seating on deck. Directions may be found later in this document. 

 

COURSE: Short course yards (25 yards).

 

EVENTS : See attached list.

 

EVENT COST: For each individual dual meet event in which a swimmer is entered a $2.00 per event surcharge to a maximum of $6.00 is added to the cost of the event and will appear on your financial statement. The purpose of this surcharge is to keep the club fees down by having the swimmers that swim the most, help in paying a portion of the clubs expenses for that meet. This fee will not be charged for relay participation swims.

 

WARM-UPS: NSSC will warm up from 1:20-1:40 PM and the and the meet will start at 2:00pm. All NSSC swimmers should arrive and check in with the coaches no later than 1:00 PM.

 

SAFETY:

  1. Diving will be prohibited during warm-ups except in specifically announced one-way sprint lanes. 
  2. No glass containers are permitted within the facility.
  3. Coaches and parents are responsible for their swimmers at all times.

 

RULES: 2007 USA Swimming rules will govern all competition.  Decisions by the meet referee will be final unless a written protest is lodged within 30 minutes of the heat swum.

 

SCORING: Individual events: 5,3,1 and Relays: 10,6,2.

 

AWARDS: Ribbons for all 12 & Under events places one through three.

 

PARKING: There is ample parking available in the parking lot adjacent to the JCC facility.

 

DIRECTIONS:

                      From the East

Mass Turnpike I-90 West to Exit 11A

Follow 495 North to 290 West

Take exit 18 (Rt. 9 Westboro-Leicester) Take right at end of exit ramp.

Take first right onto Concord Street (becomes Salisbury street after one block)

Straight ahead on Salisbury Street. There are 2 fork on Salisbury Street. Stay left at the first fork and stay right at the second fork. Approximately 3 miles up on the left is the JCC (1/2 mile past Assumption college). Look for a stone sign - 2nd driveway on the left.
